If you know that something or someone will give you temporary moments of satisfaction/contentment or even happiness but you are dead sure that this won't last...
Should you still take the plunge and enjoy it?
or
Should you protect yourself now, from the hurt of losing it later, by not indulging in it at all?

Hmmm... You know what Sue, I think you should take the plunge (I'm assuming that you're not committed, that is...). And I'd say keep yourself open to the possibilities and do what your heart urges you to. That way, you can be sure that you wouldn't spend the rest of your life wondering about what could've been...
Trust me, I did it and now, I'm living my happily ever after! So, all the best kid!
Nothing in life is permanent. So might as well enjoy all those temporary moments of (in)sanity right?
yesterday's history, tomorrow a mystery,
so we today to relish, which is why it is called "present" ! [:)]
hope your absence from the blogosphere is temporary.
Fans wait....
@ the walker: I like what you say...but I worry, what may be a temporary tempatation for me, may be a true love situation for another person who I would risk hurting if I take the plunge...
So this is a dilemma I think I am never going to be able to solve for myself.
